Something Dramatic

The Brief An actress approached me to photograph “something dramatic and bright” for her living room. She was especially keen on a red flower. The Solution An actor’s life is not easy. Actors constantly have to sell themselves to casting agents and directors, which means they always have to look their best and perform their best. I photographed this flower from behind because it symbolises capturing the person behind the glamour. The front of the flower is usually considered the pretty part, but this photograph shows what’s “behind the scenes.” The client chose to print the image large on opal acrylic. > View Gallery < Gallery menu
